Intersport is an international chain of sport shops spread out over 42 countries in Europe, America and Asia. This multinational at the moment has more the 5400 stores. The corporate offices are located in Berna.

The chain was founded in 1968, when 10 independent organizations united. Intersport was born in Sweden in 1961 via a group called “Sport-tian”. The sport shops united at that moment in Stockholm with the aim to join forces to compete against the big department stores.

It is largest sport corporation in the world. Today they sell brands like Nike, Adidas, Puma, Reebok, Blend, Quiksilver and many more. The corporation is also the owners of Northbrook, Etiel and Firefly.
